The OSS Inishowen 100

OSS Inishowen 100
OSS are proud to announce the start of our two-year partnership with Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland! Over the next two years, OSS are committed to raising €22,000 to sponsor the training of the OSS Autism Assistance Dog before it goes to its new home. For each year of the partnership we have set an ambitious fundraising target of €11,000. Our main fundraising activity for 2021 is the OSS Inishowen 100, a 160km cycling challenge.
On Saturday the 4th September, a team of 20 cyclists will take on the Inishowen 100 route and complete the 160km in one single day. In addition to this, OSS staff will also take on the OSS Inishowen 100 virtually, by committing to cycling 160km for the month of September.
“We are looking forward to working with all the team at OSS over the next 2 years as they sponsor the training of an assistance dog. The partnership allows for the OSS team to see first hand the impact of their fundraising efforts as they follow the puppy’s progress to becoming a fully trained and accredited assistance dog. We receive between 10 – 15 enquiries every week from parents desperate to go on our waiting list; the demand for our life changing dogs has never been higher. We are completely reliant on the generosity of the public and companies to fund our training programme. Our partnership with OSS Recruitment is extremely significant as it allows us to train another assistance dog and help change the world for a child with autism”
-Nuala Geraghty, CEO AADI
With 1 in 65 children diagnosed with autism and the organisation being solely funded on donations and public fundraising, these funds are needed more than ever.
We’d love if you could help us in any small way to achieve our goal such as following and sharing our journey on social media or making a donation on our OSS Inishowen 100 fundraising page.
